Hi there...well with spring nearly on our doorstep. At least I think its going to be, barring any "surprises" from mother nature, I must admit I have been doing my fair share of day dreaming of bright blue skies, cool spring breezes, explosions of color from blooming buds and the smell of fresh cut green grass. Sounds good, huh? I cannot wait to steal a few minutes to grab a book, and a cup of coffee or tea and settle into a cozy nook outside and "get away" from everything.Just me, my book and good ol mother nature. It is definitely one of my most anticipated free luxuries, costs nothing but feels like a million bucks!
So imagine this........your family are all occupied doing their thing for the entire day. All of your chores/calls/emails have been addressed and completed. You are free as a bird. It is 68 degrees absolutely picture perfect. All phones get turned off. The only ring you hear is the sweet chirping of the happy birds doing a little spring dance. You excitedly grab that book you have been waiting to start, brew a fresh cup of coffee, throw on your flip flops and head outside for a few hours of uninterrupted bliss! So...you know the drill, pick your patio setting. Which one beckons to you? I can't wait to hear.....

As always I start the comments with one of my own....so this is hard. Very hard and I now understand why its hard to choose just one. I am sorry but for me, its a three way tie....between 2,12 and 14.I love all three and feel they most emulate my style and they are all as elegant as they are inviting. There are a bunch of others I love too but those three would make me one happy girl!! Your turn.......
ReplyDeleteChoice 7! of all these lovely choices! Breakfast on the chaise-lunch with friends at the table!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the scenario you painted, finally an easy one! For me its number 4, it looks removed from everything, it is its own little oasis, a refuge which is what I like in an outdoor setting, something small and intimate. Its wonderful but then again they all are!
ReplyDelete7 or 14!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely number 3! It looks so cosy and inviting and has such beautiful bright flowers surrounding it...perfect!
ReplyDeleteHi Tina, 6 or 11 for me. They are both incredible!
ReplyDeleteGot my clutch yesterday and just love it, even better in person and can't wait to wear it on my vacation next week!
It has to be 11 or 15 for me!~ If it is family... we are all about comfort and relaxing. Some of those outside rooms are a little fussy for my men to be flopping on! Wonderful selections as always!!!! And what fun!
ReplyDeleteThe cozyness of #14 appeals to me and think I would enjoy the chaise, but #6 keeps pulling me in for some reason. Totally different, I know. All are great choices.
ReplyDeleteNumber 14 for me! love the look and different seating/lounging options.
ReplyDeleteCan't decide between 2, 12 and 15...so beautiful and those cushions in 12 look like the most comfy things ever!
ReplyDeleteI love choice 2 with choice 11 running a close second. Lovely all aroung though.
ReplyDeleteChoice 3 is calling my name! All those pretty clay pots, the fire, the lovely table, the pergola with the roses, yes, choice 3 looks like it would be right at home out my back door.
ReplyDeleteChoices #8 and #11. 11 looks sooo comfortable and cozy. Then for some reason I am imagining the ocean or sea beyond in #8; maybe a few more large palms for shading the lower seating area. Currently reading The Aviator's Wife; Excellent!

Hi Tina...I love this scenario! I love #2 and #15...wish it was warm enough for patio sitting today. I am recovering from minor surgery and have to rest so any of these would be perfect. Instead I am glued to the TV on "Pope Watch"!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day! xoxox
Hello Tina......all great pictures and very relaxing looking settings! However, it is 11 and 14 for me.......look heavenly.
ReplyDeleteSophia
Gorgeous patios!!! But given the choice of just one 14 stole my heart! Fun post...hope spring is heading your way soon.
ReplyDelete2, 4 and 11. We have a big patio project this spring so this post has me really excited, so many beautiful ideas here!
ReplyDeleteWe have near 60 degrees here today and the first signs of spring are sprouting so thats a great sign that spring is finally here.
This was hard, but I go for nr 3. Love it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day
This was very hard to narrow down, but I choose #3. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove 11, hard decision for sure though. One is a close 2nd.admucha@aol.com
ReplyDeleteOkay, so maybe this is against the rules, but...I'm choosing #14 and tweaking it by adding the fountain from #16 along with the fireplace from #12...oh, and how about if we just "borrow" that gorgeous hydrangea centerpiece back there in #2? Ah, Perfection! I'll meet you out back. ~LauraM
ReplyDeleteTina I like that you started with your own comment and love your choices. I also love 2, what a picture perfect backyard, and I love 14 and totally different but love the coziness and intimate feeling of number 3. I would happily take any of these beautiful backyards.
ReplyDeleteI would choose 3,7 or 12. I had a hard time choosing one backyard, as you can see. They are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteCynthia
I love # 3 give me flowers or I can not live. Jeanne
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful, but I LOVE 8 and 9 but. I think it has to do with the view! lol

I love number nine. That is my choice because it is based on reality not a fantasy. We all love the fantastic but when I look in my wallet I see what I can afford and what I cannot. This is beautiful and I can have it and I will have it. I think this is the most beautiful and soon it will be mine.
ReplyDeleteDitto on 2 & 14! I'll narrow it down to # 2 so I can stretch out on that comfy sofa, read my book, then toss the flip flops and go for a swim.
ReplyDeleteOkay, it was tough but I narrowed it down to #9 and #14. I would have my socks and slippers on, my feet/toes are always freezing. Maybe I just need to get away from the snowbanks of Montana......
ReplyDeleteI like #3. It looks so cozy and warm. I just love it! Faith B
ReplyDeleteTina, number 14 looks so perfect. Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteI choose # 1. I want the furniture on #16 though. As usual, you have the best choices!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, How beautiful is #3. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw the photo. The pots of flowers, the fire place, the seating...Just the perfect outdoor setting. Bonnie Schulte in WI
ReplyDeleteThey are all dreamy, but put me down for #15! I'm going to try and replicate that on my deck! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt would be 2 or 14 for me!! I need some quiet time and would enjoy ANY of these cozy spaces:)
ReplyDeleteI love #11 with it's overstuffed sofa and fireplace. Looks comfy and lush!
ReplyDeleteBarbara A
Cannot decide between #1 and #11. I can hardly wait for spring to bloom! Very pretty choices.
ReplyDeleteSwooning over all these pretty patios... One of us picked #2 and the other picked #4 but we'd take any of these serene spaces to enjoy our glass of wine tonight!

No doubt it would be #3. I was a florist for a carreer, love the out doors & fireplaces- It just beckons me. They all had pluses & minuses but this one for me. Kathryn
ReplyDelete6, 11, or 12. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteNumber 3 nice a cozy, a little warmth from the fire! Number 8 is just beautiful and a view, Number 10, beautifully rustic and it looks like there is a view.
ReplyDeleteI have number 3 on my pinterest page, but I'm loving 7, 12, and 14, also!
ReplyDeleteCarol P.
No. 2 for me. Divine.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'll have the #10 to go please!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh! Number 3, no contest!
ReplyDeleteLooks happy and relaxed and intimate, a place for great long laughing conversations.
2, 6, 11 and 12! How can one choose? These are all stunning but those four would make me happy for a decade! Thanks for stopping by earlier.
ReplyDeleteMy choice is 8.. Looks like it's in California--my favorite state..
ReplyDeleteHave to go with #2, but it was hard to narrow down. They're all sublime. It was a beautiful day here today and so nice to get to be outside enjoying it! Just like these lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteSo tough!! 11, 13 and 14.. but how difficult it would be to choose just one! I guess I would have to choose 11! Love them all.
ReplyDeleteBest, Karolyn
I'm going with 11!
ReplyDeleteHands down...it has to be Mark Sikes back yard....#14
ReplyDeletejoin # 3, or 9 or 10!
ReplyDeleteI'm just going to pretend I could go a sit every in a new location. This was a difficult choice. I have to say a fireplace outdoors is so nice. I'm feeling slightly guilty at our 80 degree - blue sky weather. Spring has definitely sprung here. Hope it comes your way soon. :)
ReplyDeleteI choose No. 2. Love blue and yellow! Appears comfy and cozy, yet neat and tidy.
ReplyDeleteView is gorgeous.
Susan
ONE, SEVEN and TWELVE are my favorites! I can never ever just chose one my dear, when you give us so many great ideas! Anita
ReplyDeleteGood morning!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't think of something better than choice no.6......
spacious place with view to the garden, combining luxury and absolute silence!
i love cream colours with touches of fer forge and i can imagine myself relaxing in a place like this.....reading a wonderful book that can change my psychology and upgrade my spirit!
Loving all of these spaces but thinking 2 and 16 are favorites - just the perfect spaces to have y morning coffee!! Happy Thursday, Tina ~
ReplyDeleteChoice 2 and 15 really speak to me. Thanks for the wonderful pictures!
ReplyDeleteHi Tina
ReplyDeleteFor me it is 2, 13 & 14, but I would be happy on any one of them!
Good Morning! All those lovely outdoor spaces - Hurry Spring! Love 9 and 14 for outside and 2 for intimate covered space with a view!
ReplyDeleteOnly one--#3.
ReplyDeleteBut there must be a "ceiling fan."
2, 11 or 13 for me! I love feeling cocooned and love comfy, plush chairs to curl up in. I am just dreaming of warmer days. Just back from Florida with the family and feel like I got a big cold slap in the face with this weather.
ReplyDeleteCome on Spring...where are you?!!!
xoxo Elizabeth
It has been lovely, dreaming away about the perfect place to be sitting right now, Tina. I chose 1. Love the Tuscan feel to it...but I also love the cozy French no. 4. and the mystery in no. 9.
ReplyDeletehugs Z
Just find me reading a James Patterson mystery in Choice 3, 11 or 14! May I have some Sweet Tea, please!!! When I looked at your choices I could see you in each one. Pure Classical. Lovely!!!☺
ReplyDeleteOkay, I have to say this: When are you going to create a magazine? Your vision, the interactive conversations you employ, your abounding energy and, your work ethic, creativity, curiosity, your taste. Seems to me you are perfectly suited as an Editor. If you do not choose the grueling grind of producing a magazine every month, what about a book. Please consider these ventures. I offer my encouragement with good intentions. A fan!☺
ReplyDeleteI have to say this really stressed me out! How can I pick one???? ugh but if I had too....If I must... well 3 is so beautiful! 7 is so up my alley! But the view of 8 is killer! 11 is also calling me! ::sigh:: If I must pick, It would be 12! BUT, I would add elements of 3 and a little of 11! lol
ReplyDelete2 what a relaxing view, 7 for the crystals and roses, 14 and 16 - for the luscious green enveloping.
ReplyDeleteExcellent post… was just what I was looking for! Thanks again. Rent Barcelona Apartments
ReplyDeletewow, i love this gorgeous post, thank you
ReplyDeleteAlways you provide exclusive posts for me
ReplyDeleteAll the spaces are gorgeous so it is very hard to choose. We live in Southern California where is almost never rains and, when it does, it is cold and windy, so my choices are narrowed to the spaces without a solid covering. There is just no point in going out to the patio when it rains.
ReplyDeleteSecond requirement for me is a patio with beams to support deciduous vines. Size, well, seating for at least 8 people. Finally, again, because we are in Southern California, the patio should be on the east side of a building to receive sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon.
So that makes Choice #3 and perhaps #14 for me!
LOve this one! I would definitely choose #16 as I adore creeping fig and the whole Charleston garden vibe.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend Tina!
xo
Fo me it is either 12 or 14.
ReplyDeleteBest...Victoria
Seriously??? How can I decide? Well this is why I think we all need at least 3 houses!! I love many of these. I prefer small and cozy, but I am going to have to choose 10. We used to have a summer cabin on the side of a mountain in North Carolina, and number 10 looks like it might have some stunning mountain views. You have the BEST taste because all of these are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLovely choices but number 11 is mine.
ReplyDeleteCatching up, but there were so many 4, 14, 15, even 16, but 15 is a perfect spot to sit out in the morning, rain or shine! I have a little backporch almost just like this, my favorite get away spot.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love these new styles of wooden collection! Especially the last picture, this gives me a real South of France summer feel! :o) x
